Who Should Visit Rex’s Ranch?

Join us for a real-life look at homestead life. You'll help with daily chores like feeding animals, checking the bees, mucking stalls, and tending the greenhouse - all while learning the “why” behind what we do.. This experience can be tailored to your interests, with extra time spent where you're most curious.

Start times vary by season and daylight hours, but typically:

• Summer: Morning feeding starts between 7–9 AM, evening feeding between 6–9 PM
   
• Winter: Morning feeding starts between 7–9 AM, evening feeding between 3–4 PM

*We’ll work with your schedule as best we can.

Pro tip: This is not the time to dress up — expect mud, hay, and a whole lot of fun.

Time: 1 hour

Cost: $40 per person (2 person min, 6 person maximum)

Looking for a one-of-a-kind, hands-on animal experience? You choose what tickles your fancy — we’ll tailor it just for you!

This experience is customized to your interests. Perfect for all ages, and typically runs about an hour (or longer if you’d like!).

• Chickens – hunt for eggs, feed, and learn about natural chicken behavior while relaxing among our friendly flock. Maybe you want more details about raising your own flock. Just let us know!
   
• Goats – Walk a goat (they’re a little squirrely, but full of personality!), give treats, or simply hang out with the herd. Scratches behind the horns encouraged!
   
• Alpacas – Take a calm walk around the property or try a fun alpaca obstacle course (yes, that’s a real thing!).
   
• Potbelly Pig – Get to know our clever pig, offer snacks, go on a guided piggy stroll, he might even do a trick for you.
   
• Horse – Say hello, offer a treat, and learn a bit about care and behavior of our sassy equine friend.

• Bees - Observe our friendly pollinators as they come and go, and get a close-up look at life in the hive. You’ll learn about the different roles bees play, the vital work they do on the homestead, and a bit about the products they produce.
   

Each visit is a little different — because every animal (and every guest!) brings their own energy and curiosity. We are happy to talk with you and craft a unique experience you are sure to love.

Looking for a hands-on, custom experience focused on plants, compost, greenhouses, and all things grow-your-own? You’ve found it!

This adventure is tailored to your interests. Visits typically last around an hour (but we’re happy to go longer!).

What can your visit include?

• Greenhouse Exploration - step into a living ecosystem — it's more than just plants! From ladybugs and bees to predatory wasps and flies (yes, those are my favorite), we work to keep things chemical-free and let nature thrive.

• Compost & Soil Health - it’s not just poop — it’s plant gold! Learn how we turn waste into rich compost, use companion planting, and work to attract beneficial bugs.

• Pollinators Up Close - peek at bees, wasps, and other pollinators under a microscope, and observe our honeybees in action as they come and go from the hive.

• Plant Propagation & Seed Magic - why buy new plants when you can grow more from what you already have? Learn how to propagate, start seeds, save them — and even take home a sproutling of your own!

• Feed the Farm Friends - help deliver homegrown snacks to our animal pals — like fresh alfalfa for the horse, which also helps replenish nitrogen in our garden beds.

We’ll customize your time with us based on what excites you most. Want to focus on composting? Seed starting? Bugs? You tell us where you want to grow — and we’ll grow right along with you.
